Italian Serie A giants Lazio of Rome are interested in signing Aston Villa’s Belgium international striker Christian Benteke who after much interest in the summer decided to sign a new four-year contract with the Birmingham club.
The boss of Lazio Vladimir Petkovic is eager to add to his attacking options after having sold Czech international striker Libor Kozak to Aston Villa during the summer.
Italian Serie A champions Juventus are also interested in Benteke after Spanish striker Fernando Llorente has failed to live up to expectations since arriving from Athletic Bilbao.
Chelsea may also be interested in the Villa striker after failing with a £20 million bid last summer, and are now looking on as the Villa big man has already netted five goals this season.
