POTTY Peter Odemwingie will face the wrath of West Brom — after he turned up at Loftus Road in an attempt to force through a move to QPR.
But the cheeky Nigerian’s bid failed when he was turned away by Rangers executives after he arrived for talks about a proposed £3million move WITHOUT Albion’s permission.
The striker, a target for R’s chief Harry Redknapp , could now be fined by his bosses at the Baggies, who only realised he had travelled to the R’s for talks when they saw footage of him on TV!
The red-faced striker, 31, was sent packing by the Hoops with his dream move — and professional reputation — in tatters.
He then became the butt of a barrage of jokes on the internet, with tweeted mocked-up mickey-taking pictures going viral.
QPR chief executive Philip Beard said: “He was not allowed to enter the stadium. We would never disrespect another club by speaking to one of their players without permission.”
Albion refused to allow the striker to talk to QPR after their bid to take Junior Hoilett on loan as part of the deal fell through.
However, as Odemwingie sat in his car outside Loftus Road, he insisted: “West Brom is my home but QPR is a new chapter. I just hope West Brom will be happy.
“I am very optimistic the transfer will happen.”
But Baggies chiefs were far from happy after seeing him on TV — just days after Odemwingie fired a Twitter blast at Albion for not letting him speak with QPR.
Redknapp revealed: “I think he felt the deal had been agreed between the clubs and it hadn’t.
“It was all a bit of a mix-up but it wasn’t any of our doing.
“Maybe he was advised he should turn up here and that the offer had been accepted.
“I think the wires got crossed somewhere but it’s too late now.”
