Last night’s Champions League hero for Greek side Olympiakos Joel Campbell, whose goal helped downed the reigning Premier League champions by a score of 2-0 has signalled his desire to return to Arsenal.
METRO is reporting that Campbell who joined Arsenal back in 2011 and still yet to feature for the club after loan spells in France , Spain and Greece is now determined to come to England and make a statement in the Premier League.
Speaking before last night’s match the 21-year-old Costa Rican forward said: ‘As soon as Arsenal came, I wanted to join them and I believe I am ready to play for Arsenal next season.
‘I know I have the capacity to play there. I am only waiting for the opportunity. With hard work I know I can get there.
‘United showed an interest in me when I was moving to Europe but I have been an Arsenal fan since I was a child and that’s why I chose them.’
