Mesut Ozil looks set to miss the Champions League Round of 16 2nd leg against Bayern Munich at the Emirates on Tuesday evening.

The former Real Madrid midfielder missed the 3-1 loss to Liverpool on Saturday evening due to illness and Arsenal manager, Arsene Wenger, wont risk the 28 year old midfielder.

Wenger spoke in regards to Ozil in his pre match press conference ahead of the Bayern Munich game and stated “Ozil is not in the squad, he only had one session and isn’t physically ready to be in the squad”.

With Arsenal needing to overcome a 4 goal deficit against Bayern Munich, not having Ozil will make the task a whole lot more difficult.

Though Ozil’s form has dipped in recent games, the German can produce quality out of nothing and his relationship with Alexis Sanchez on the pitch can always create chances.

With the apparent fallout of Wenger and Sanchez on the training ground this week and the loss to Liverpool, what sort of cohesion will the team have and can they overturn Bayern Munich at the Emirates?
