According to fichajes.net Manchester United have made a £45 million bid for Bayern Munich striker Thomas Muller.

The 25-year-old German international is well known to United manager Louis van Gaal following his time in charge of the Bundesliga champions, and was always considered to be a long-term target of the Dutchman.

Bayern do not want to see Muller leave, yet the young German has told his agent to be on the lookout for new challenges, and with it looking like Radamel Falcao may be on his way out of Old Trafford at 25-years-old Muller would have the chance to become a Manchester United legend should he move to the Premiership.

Another clue as to the departure of Falcao is the fact that United already had another bid for a top striker turned down this week after Palermo said no to the Red Devils offer their Argentinian youngster Paulo Dybala.
