Liverpool have set their eyes on bringing Paris Saint-Germains  Argentinian playmaker  Javier Pastore to Anfield in January, but could now face stiff opposition from Italian Serie A side AC Milan who are also said to be interested in the midfielder.

Liverpool missed out all summer on a creative midfielder failing to sign Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Willian, and it is believed that Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has his sights set firmly on Pastore.

AC Milan though has other plans wanting to bring the former Genoa player back to Italy from France.

The two seasons Pastore played for Genoa were impressive earning him a £37 million move to the French Champions, but in the last two weeks there has been much speculation as to his situation at the club with manager Laurent Blanc only playing him in five of PSG’s eight matches.

Pastore’s displays in a two-season spell at Palermo earned him a £37m move to PSG in 2011, and although he has impressed in spells, his future in the French capital has been subject to speculation in recent weeks.

Liverpool are desperate for a player like Pastore, and should PSG who just sold Liverpool  their young French defender Sakho be willing to sell I would put my money on the 24-year-old moving to Merseyside.
