Udinese, Liverpool

News that  Udinese midfielder Emmanuel Badu could be on his way to Liverpool have been circulating for a few weeks now with the latest talk coming from Sky Italia via Tuttomercatoweb who on their Tuesday transfer show with Gianluca Di Marzio claimed that Liverpool were now in pole position to sign Badu from the Serie A club.

The 23-year-old midfielder already has a wealth of international experience having amassed 40 caps for Ghana, and is under contract with Udinese till 2016 which means that the Italians are under no pressure to sell but a move to Anfield would certainly interest the player along with the pay raise he would see with it.

As for Liverpool it is an opportunity for manager Brendan Rodgers to sign a defensive midfielder for much less money than he would have to pay Rubin Kazan for Yann M’Vila.
