Incoming AC Milan coach Clarence Seedorf has his work cut out if he wants to turn around the Rossoneri’s season with the club languishing mid-table after a poor start to the season.

One of the reasons that Milan sacked Allegri so suddenly could be so Seedorf could come in now and make a few signings the first of which could be Chelsea’s Michael Essien.

In the past the Ghanaian midfielder has been a pivotal figure in the Chelsea side but is now featuring less and less in manager Jose Mourinho’s plans, with Essien himself saying he would be open to a January move even if it was just a loan deal.

Italian sports daily La Gazzetta dello Sport  claims that upon Seedorf’s arrival tomorrow he will immediately sit down with Milan’s transfer Guru Adriano Galliani to discuss the January transfer window.

Allegri was not keen to sign the 31-year-old Chelsea player as he did not fit in with his plans for the team, but new coach Seedorf could see things quite differently and bring the Chelsea player in on loan till the end of the season .
