Liverpool has been in the market for an attacking midfielder since last summer and has now turned their attention to Georginio Wijnaldum the captain of PSV Eindhoven.
The 23-year-old Dutch international was reportedly an Arsenal target over the summer but rejected a move preferring to stay in Holland.
According to metro his favourite position is to be a playmaker in the centre of midfield where his ability has often had him likened to former Spurs player Rafeal van der Vaart.
It is rumoured that the Reds will test the players resolve by making a £9 million bid to PSV this January.
