Juventus, AC Milan, Matri,

Beppe Marotta the general manager of Turin side Juventus has rubbished reports that AC Milan has made an offer for striker Alessandro Matri.

The Italian international used to play for AC Milan earlier in his career, but failed to make an impression with the Italian giants.

Suddenly he is being linked with a move back to the San Siro following the arrival of Carlos Tevez and Fernando Llorente at Juventus.

When speaking to Sky Sports Italia Marotta said: “Matri is currently our player. Milan have never asked us about him.”

The GM isn’t stupid though and expects that with six strikers in Conte’s squad someone will probably leave before the transfer window closes on the 2nd, with Matri also linked to a Premiership move to Everton, Newcastle or Sunderland.

He added: “This group can give coach Conte the possibility of technical flexibility. Each one can have a different role. We are okay in this way.

“Clearly, having six strikers, there is not space for all of them. If someone should ask us to go elsewhere we would be sorry, but we will do what we do.”
