Bakayoko agrees personal terms with Chelsea, according to reports

Chelsea and Manchester United target Tiemoue Bakayoko who plays for Monaco, looks set to leave the French club this summer and move to England.

Bakayoko, 22, has rejected a contract extension at the club and reports of a £32 million offer from Chelsea could see the Frenchman move to London.

Chelsea look to get a head start on negotiations in order to fend off interest from Manchester United and according to reports in France, Chelsea will offer Bakayoko a lucrative deal to partner summer signing, Ngolo Kante in midfield.

Spanish journalist, Guillem Balague, wrote on his Twitter account “Monaco’s Bakayoko has agreed personal terms with Chelsea. Next step is for Chelsea to pay Monaco more than anybody else for the midfielder.”

Bakayoko helped Monaco to reach the quarter finals of the Champions League last week when they qualified against Manchester City and Bakayoko was a key player in the game, scoring to put the French club through. He has also been called up to the French National team to replace Manchester United’s Injured Paul Pogba.

A deal looks close but with many clubs looking towards Bakayoko, including Manchester United, Juventus and Arsenal, Monaco will surely hold off until closer to the summer, as clubs begin to fight it out for the highly rated Frenchman.
