Fulham have gone all out to sign one of their former players Clint Dempsey on loan in the hope of avoiding relegation.
The 30-year-ild American was in London yesterday to finalize a 2-month loan deal that will see in return to Craven Cottage during the MLS off season.
Dempsey joined the MLS Seattle Sounders from Tottenham last summer, and favours a return to the Premiership in the American off season as preparation for next summers World Cup in Brazil.
The MLS season ended the end of October and does not start up again until March the 8th and with Dempsey wanting to remain fit and involved in top competition returning to his former club where he reached the Europa League final in 2010.
The attacking midfielders work rate and an eye for goal could play a role in whether or not the Cottagers face relegation especially with Dimitar Berbatov looking for a January move away from the club.
