Fenerbahce

Turkish giants Fenerbahce have now entered the race to sign Paris Saint-Germain attacking midfielder Javier Pastore, and are prepared to battle both Arsenal and Liverpool for the Argentinian international.

Pastore has been a key player for the French champions since his move from Italian Serie A side Palermo a couple of seasons ago.

His stellar performances have put him on the radar of the two big English clubs of whom Liverpool have to be favourites after having failed to sign an attacking midfielder over the summer.

Fenerbahce coach trainer Erun Yanal is also a big fan of the 24-year-old telling the Turkish daily Fotomac: : “I asked to arrange an appointment in Paris to discuss the direction of PSG, as Fenerbahce want to move forward with a real number 10.”

Pastore will not come cheap, but is exactly the type of player Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers wants a man they can play balls through to Sturridge and Suarez while at the same time capable of getting his name on the score sheet.

As for Arsenal I think Arsene Wenger will be more interested in signing a striker now that he has Mesut Özil.
