According to Sundays METRO Porto striker Jackson Martinez said that he has supported the Gunners since being a little boy and would love to play for Arsenal is he had the chance to.
The Colombian has increasingly been linked to a move to the Emirates after saying that he would like to play in the English Premiership.
And with Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger on the hunt for a new striker Martinez has issued a come and get me plea.
“I cheered for Arsenal when I was a kid – I love their style of play,” said Martinez to reporters.
“It’s flowing and open with a lot of first touch passes. It would be suitable for a player like me. If I get a chance to play for a high level club like Arsenal I wouldn’t hesitate to accept it.”
The current Porto player is said to be valued at around 330 million and is expected to leave Portugal either this January or in the summer.
