Atletico Madrid, Diego Costa, Chelsea

According to METRO reports coming out of Spain are saying that Chelsea now has a verbal agreement in place to sign star striker Diego Costa in the summer.

Spanish television station La Sexta is claiming that football agent Francois Gallardo says that Chelsea is ready to meet the strikers £32 million buy-out clause.

Atletico knows it is impossible to hold [onto Costa],’ he said.

Despite the validity of the remarks made by Gallardo on transfer news numerous sources are saying that the Spanish international will be moving to Stamford Bridge in the summer.

Currently Atletico Madrid has Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois on loan at the Vicente Calderon where the Belgium number one has been for the last three seasons.

Recently Courtois has been questioning his future with Chelsea and how long it will be before he can take over from Petr Cech, yet given the choice he would rather see a deal made with Atletico that would see him remain in the Spanish capital.

Should Chelsea sign Costa he could find himself very much a part of that deal staying in Madrid while the man who turned down Brazil to play for Spain moves to London.
