Arsenal, Bacaray Sagna, Southampton, Calum Chambers

With it appearing as though the two sides are no closer to an agreement Arsenal has started to look at players who could replace Bacary Sagna should a compromise fail to materialize between the two parties.

There has been plenty of talk linking both Luke Shaw and Adam Lallana to a summer move from St Marys, but it is another Southampton player that Arsene Wenger is looking at, and that is 19-year-old Calum Chambers according to the Daily Mail.

Chambers is a product of Southampton’s youth academy having joined the club when he was only eight year-old along with James Ward-Prowse, Harrison Reed and Sam Gallagher who are all being compared to the famous class of 92.

Currently Chambers is holding down the right-back spot in front of Nathaniel Clyne, and has started in 16 Premiership games this season catching the attention of Gunners boss Arsene Wenger as the Frenchman looks for summer signings.

Chambers has represented England at all levels currently playing for the U-19s and would for the right price make a fine addition to the Arsenal squad.
