Arsenal fans told to leave the Pub early

Arsenal has today issued a plea asking their fans to drink up and get to the ground early in order to create a ‘fantastic’ atmosphere similar to matches in Germany.

The Gunners home support has often been accused of being a little on the quiet side with the old ground Highbury often being called the “library” by visiting supporters.

With all of the world tuning in to watch the Gunners take on Bayern Munich in the first-leg of their last-16 Champions League fixture fans group Red Action together with the club have written to ticket holders explaining how they want to create a huge mosaic spelling out the clubs crest along with red and white stripes around the stadium.

The planners of all this are worried that hangers on in the pub could spoil the show so have asked that everyone be in their seats by 7.35pm with those who decided to stop for a pre-match pint being asked to help get their fellow supporters to the ground with them.

It’s a rather optimistic plan to say the least but we wish them well in their endeavour.
