Edinson Cavani

The Daily Mail is reporting this morning that Uruguayan striker Edinson Cavani is looking for a move away from the Parc des Princes in the summer after just one season with French champions Paris Saint-Germain.

While we all know that Jose Mourinho will be in the market for a striker in the summer, and yes I think Cavani is exactly the type of player Mourinho likes so I could certainly see him playing at Stamford Bridge.

The Other team they mention his being signed by is Manchester United with manager David Moyes having the 26-year-old on his short list of possible summer striker targets along with Atletico Madrid’s Diego Costa and Bayern Munich’s Mario Mandzukic who I think would be far more suited to Old Trafford than Cavani would.

This now brings out the question of whether or not he would be suitable for Arsenal or if he would in effect not click or compliment current striker Olivier Giroud similar to his situation at PSG where he is forced to play in a wide role in order to accommodate Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

At £56 million he would not come cheap, yet his agents are reported to be in London sounding out potential clubs for a summer move which would be if I had to guess be Chelsea as I think they would more suit his style of play whereas Arsenal basically just need a striker they can call on should Giroud become injured or can play when Wenger needs to rotate his team so my opinion is he is too expensive for what Arsenal needs, but what do you think, would he be a good buy?
