While talking to TalkSport Stewart Robson said Arsene Wenger needs to focus on bringing new players into the team and should stop worrying if it is going to upset his current players.
The Gunners are still to splash any cash this summer, and as the window winds down the chance seems to be slipping away for Arsenal to make some quality signings.
Stewart Robson has told Arsene Wenger to stop worrying about upsetting his current squad and start making major signings.
“They have to spend some money and make the squad stronger,” the former Arsenal player said, speaking on the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast.
“The worry with Arsene Wenger is when he was talking about the goalkeeper recently he said he didn’t want to upset Wojciech Szczesny, he didn’t want to ruin his confidence by bringing in another goalkeeper.
“If the goalkeeper in his view isn’t good enough at the moment, he has to get another goalkeeper in, likewise with a defender, likewise with a midfielder, likewise with a front player. You can’t worry about upsetting the players you have.”
