CHELSEA are at war with the Premier League over the FIFA Club World Cup in Japan.

Boss Roberto Di Matteo is furious the European champions cannot postpone a League game at home to Sunderland on December 8.

Their first match at the tournament in the Far East is just five days later.

Di Matteo, whose side take on Liverpool today, blasted: “I cannot get my head around it.

“We tried to postpone the Sunderland game to give us the best chance in Japan but the Premier League didn’t agree to it.

“You would think they would have an interest to give us the best chance of success in Japan which would reflect very well on English football and the Premier league.

“You see other federations trying to help their teams.”
