Rodgers angry that Liverpool got outbid for Salah

METRO is reporting that Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers is involved in talks with several players over the possibility of moving to Anfield.

Liverpool is desperate to add several new players to their squad this January as they not only try for a Champions League place but also a possible run for the title.

Liverpool’s owner John W. Henry is in town to discuss the clubs needs with Rodgers and to watch the match tomorrow against Aston Villa.

‘We’ve been working on a number of possibilities that could strengthen the team and we have to wait and see how that goes in the next few weeks,’ he said.

‘The owners of the club have been great and if something is there to be done to improve us then we will do it. We are assessing a whole raft of players and it’s a case of seeing if they are available.’

Liverpool are presumed to have £25 million available for new players with their priority a left-back and a winger, and while names are being thrown around as to possible targets the Reds are yet to confirm a deal has been done with anyone.
