Italian giants Inter Milan are ready to pounce on Bacary Sagna’s contract stand-off.

Inter are convinced they will be able to lure Sagna away from Arsenal next summer as his deal has 18 months left and there are doubts over whether he will stay.

Sagna, 29, has been regarded as the Premier League’s best right back by Arsene Wenger but two broken legs within a year has restricted his appearances.

France right back Sagna even voiced his frustrations about Arsenal selling their best players earlier this season which earned him a public dressing down by Wenger.

Now ironically Sagna could become the next big name to go following Robin van Persie last summer while Arsenal have been struggling to agree a new deal with Theo Walcott since negotiations broke down in August.

Mirror Sport reported Inter Milan’s interest in September and it is understood that the Italian club have stepped up their attempts, have put an offer in place and there is a growing feeling Sagna could go.

Arsenal’s emerging right back Carl Jenkinson, 20, has been hugely impressive this season and just missed out on an England call-up this week.

That could leave Wenger ready to consider selling Sagna this summer, although the club have been insistent they will try to agree a new deal.

Sagna has interested Inter Milan but Paris Saint Germain could also be keen but at the moment the Italians are hopeful they stand a good chance of getting their man.
