Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has ruled out a summer move to try and sign either of Paris Saint-Germain strikers Zlatan Ibrahimovic or Edinson Cavani, despite being heavily linked with the Uruguayan.

Chelsea will almost certainly be in the market for a new striker in the summer to replace the aging underperforming trio of Fernando Torres, Samuel Eto’o and Demba Ba.

Despite rumours suggesting the Blues will make a bid for Ibrahimovic who Mourinho coached at Inter Milan the Chelsea manager told Canal+ “He’s happy in Paris. I know because we’re in contact, we’re friends.

“With their financial potential, I don’t think Paris will ever open the door for him to leave.

“Cavani is a very good player. But Paris paid a lot of money for him and he has an amazing contract.”

While still on the subject of Paris Saint-Germain who extended their lead in Ligue 1 to five-points thank to a Zlatan Ibrahimovic hat-trick taking his goal tally for the season to 36 in a 2-4 away win at Toulouse, Mourinho was asked about the French clubs interest in Eden hazard to which the Portuguese manager replied:

“Eden is our lad. We want to build the team around him.”
