Chelsea, Liverpool

Not wanting to rain on Liverpool’s parade, and while also not being pessimistic on Liverpool’s Premiership title ambitions I am sure if you had asked any Reds fan at the start of the season did they think Liverpool could win the Premiership they would have said no.

If asked who they though would win it you would have heard three names mentioned Chelsea, Manchester City and Manchester United.

Chelsea and City are still in with a shot but United nine points off of 4th place realize that all they can now hope for is a miracle that will see them get into the Champions League.

Buoyed by their 0-3 away win at the Hawthorns against West Brom United will fancy their chances against Liverpool at Old Trafford on Sunday the 16th of March in what they will consider to be a six point match.

Liverpool who have had a week off to rest up know that Chelsea’s win over Tottenham has almost guaranteed them Champions League football next season, and if they can come away with a win against United not only will that top-four finish look as though it is set in stone but might just start to worry Jose Mourinho ahead of his trip to Anfield.

It may still be a bit premature to say mission accomplished but a win over United on Sunday will certainly get the pundits talking about Liverpool having a shot at winning it all while knowing that those European nights at Anfield will be waiting for us next season.
