Manchester United has just seen their ship come in with the announcement that the club will be signing a new world-record kit deal with American sportswear firm Nike said to be worth £600 million according to the Daily Mail.

With the Red Devils looking like they will miss out on the revenue that the Champions League would have brought in sitting nine points behind the fourth place team, the news that they will get £60 million a year for the next ten years could not have come at a better time.

The deal is almost twice what Adidas pays Real Madrid to wear their kit and significantly tops the current £23.5 million United receives from Nike at the moment.

Nike has been United’s kit sponsor for the past 13 years and with the current deal set to expire next year they wanted to get a new deal in place with both Puma and warrior interested in supplying United.
