BARCELONA broke brave Celtic’s hearts with the winner FOUR minutes into added time.

The Bhoys were on the brink of a stunning Champions League result by forcing a draw at the Nou Camp home of the Spanish giants.

But Adriano’s cross from the right found Jordi Alba at the back post.

Celtic centre-back Kevin Wilson admitted: “Gutted is the word. We defended with our lives all game and it looked like we’d done it.

“But it’s never over until the final whistle with Barca and they proved it. It’s the last minute of the game and you try to see it out.

“We’ll learn from the mistakes and hope next time we can complete it.”

Celtic were in dreamland when they went ahead thanks to a Georgios Samaras effort after 18 minutes.

Celtic skipper Scott Brown earned a free-kick wide on the right, Charlie Mulgrew whipped over a cross and the ball went in off Samaras and Barca’s Javier Mascherano.

The Scottish champions then showed great organisation to keep the Spaniards at bay.

They lost hero Samaras to injury five minutes before the break with James Forrest brought on in his place.

But, just as it looked like Neil Lennon’s side had done enough to take a one-goal advantage with them into the dressing room, Barca struck.

And what a goal it was. Lionel Messi and Xavi linked brilliantly to set up Andres Iniesta who finished from 15 yards.

Lennon admitted: “You know when you come here you’re going to be under pressure. We just needed to see it out.”
