Balotelli

It looks as though Mario Balotelli has gone and done it again after the Italian striker used his twitter feed to take exception to a storey that was printed in the Italian sports newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport that said he should use himself as a role model in the fight against the Mafia after the national team trained with a club on Monday that had connections to organised crime.

Balotelli’s tweet contained a photo of the article about which Balotelli wrote “That’s what you say! I’m coming because football is great and everyone should play it where they want to and then there’s the match!!!!”

The reaction to this has made Azzurri coach Cesare Prandelli to say: “New rules will come into force, and they will be more stringent.”

“We are looking at banning the use of social networks for players. The restriction will definitely be in force for the World Cup training camp.”

The tweet from Balotelli prompted anti-Mafia campaigner Rosaria Capacchione to call the Italian striker an imbecile.
