Balotelli, AC Milan,

A local Italian Politician has said that AC Milan striker Mario Balotelli does himself no favours by inciting the rival fans.

Flavio Tosi the mayor of northern Italian city Verona claims that the Italian international Mario Boletelli’s behaviour on the pitch proves racists.

Tosi made his remarks ahead of Milan’s visit to Verona where they will play Hellas amid the fear of a potential racist incident.

Verona has previously been punished for their fans behaviour with Tosi calling on Balotelli to tone done his behaviour ahead of the match.

“Will I reassure Balotelli about coming to Verona? There are two aspects here,” Tosi told reporters. “One is the fans, the other is the club that has always worked hard to improve the behaviour of the fans. If someone acts like a cretin, he’ll be in the minority.

“However, if Balotelli provoked people a bit less, then it would be even better. There are many black players, but not all of them stoke the ire of the opposition fans and most have no problems.

“Balotelli is very good at making himself unlikeable.”
