Drexler, Schalke, Bundeslliga, Arsenal, Wenger,

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is desperate to get at least a couple of new signings before the transfer window closes on Monday night, and has turned his attention to Schalke’s German midfielder Julian Draxler.

Chief executive Ivan Gazidis was at the clubs training ground yesterday trying to get a deal done before the window closes Monday night to at least take some pressure off the embattled Wenger.

The Frenchman has some major reservations about the price Schalke are asking for the German wonderkid thought to be £60 million with Wenger believed to be willing to pay £40 million for him.

Yesterday Schalke signed AC Milan midfielder Kevin Prince-Boateng, which gives Arsenal hope that they might be able to do a deal for the 19-year-old attacking midfielder who stepped up big time for the Bundesliga side after they lost Lewis Holtby to Spurs in January.

With only three days effectively left to get a deal done and both sides looking out for their clubs best interests even £40 million sounds too rich for a youngster despite his obvious talents.

Have a look at the video below and see if you think he is worth the money Schalke are asking.
