Balotelli, Champions League, AC Milan,

The talented Italian says that AC Milan will move on from Group H to the knockout stage of the Champions League, and says that you cannot automatically assume that Barcelona will also saying that Neil Lennon’s Celtic will be no walk over.

Balotelli said: “It’s a tough group but we weren’t the top seeds so we knew we could expect a group like this.

“I hear people say ‘which team will go through with Barcelona?’ But why has any team got to join Barcelona?

“Milan and Celtic can go through or Milan and Ajax.

“We know Barca are one of the best teams in Europe but it doesn’t make qualification automatic for them.

“Chelsea and Manchester City didn’t make it through the group stage last year – not everything in Europe works as you expect.”

Super Mario will be leading the Milan attack when Celtic travel to the San Siro on September 18th and says he can’t wait for the atmosphere at Parkhead for the return match.

“They are famous for the atmosphere and we must be cautious of that.

“We won’t play in a cautious way but we’ll be cautious about how much the Celtic fans can
lift them.”

Balotelli never shy when talking about himself says that he is playing the best football he has ever played believing that he will soon be at the same level as Messi and Ronaldo.

He said: “I’m playing my best football at Milan and I want to get even better.

“I only put Messi and Ronaldo above me and it is my plan to take over them.

“I want to be the best in the world – and the place to prove that is in the Champions League.”
