Zlatan Ibrahimovic

The 32 year old striker looks better than he was years back with him still creating so much fear for defenders and his latest hat-trick against St Etienne in the French Ligue 1 clearly showing the league’s highest goal scorer last season is not ready to back down in his pursuit for more goals in the 2014/2015 season.

Many believes the giant striker is arrogant but seems it’s the only way for him to keep his critics wrong as he tends to turn up at the right time.

He may not have won the champions league but an amazing eleven league titles in 13 years and his trademark scoring goals must be commended leaving Zlatan Ibrahimovic as one of the best top players in the world.

In his latest achievement, Zlatan Ibrahimovic recently became the all-time highest goal scorer for Sweden after scoring twice against Estonia taking him to 50 goals in 99 appearances.

The new record beat the long standing record of Sven Rydell as the Sweden skipper is getting ready to make his 100th appearance for his country.

Ibrahimovic’s recent goal scoring record is eye catching with nine goals for in four starts so far in the 2014/2015 season.

Despite the arrival of Edison Cavani, he has remained the main man in the Ligue 1 which probably forced the Uruguayan to consider a move away from Paris Saint German.

From the days of Ajax Amsterdam, Zlatan has always been feared with his command of the attack.

His height is an added advantage and can sometimes be a bully for young or inexperienced defenders. He even makes experienced defenders look stupid at times.

Zlatan is a proven goal scorer and his scissors kick goal against England is up there among the world top goals and eventually won the 2013 goal of the year award.

Dangerous aerially, Zlatan can be a threat from anywhere around the 18-yard box with his shot power, control and even from set pieces.

The Ligue 1 highest goal scorer in two consecutive seasons enjoyed success with Juventus, Inter Milan, Ac Milan and Barcelona before moving to Paris Saint German making him one of the few players to play with the top three Italian clubs.

His personal accolades asides league titles can’t be ignored with him claiming the Seria A player of the year three times during his stay in Italy.

He was also named the Seria A foreign player of the year five times. The tall striker presently has 367 career goals and he doesn’t look like he’s tired of scoring goals.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic won the Ligue 1 back to back in his first two seasons at the club and will be hoping to complete a hat-trick of the league trophy despite competitions from Monaco and others.

Although had it rough with Barcelona after a move there in 2010, Ibrahimovic scored 35 times for AC Milan in his final season with the club and had his best season in the 2013/2014 season when he scored a total of 41 goals.

If no one believes, Zlatan believes he is the best in the world and if he continues this way, he will one day be given due honour although he can’t be placed with either Cristiano Ronaldo or Lionel Messi at the moment.
