From Porto to Madrid to Monte Carlo and now to Manchester, Radamel Falcao is delighted to be a Manchester United player and the new Manchester United No 9 is excited to be back on the global scene just days after completing his loan move to Old Trafford.

The Colombian striker has been called up for international engagement after missing the 2014 FIFA world cup due to injury which saw him stay out for up to six months.

Although he wasn’t really missed with James Rodriguez, a former Monaco teammate scoring six out of the country’s twelve goals at the world cup to lift them to the quarter finals but the presence of Radamel Falcao would have added more bite to the attacking line up of the squad.

Falcao is hoping to get back to his best for both club and country as he intends doing everything he can to regain his place in the national team starting line-up.

He has also shown the desire to buy the lost time in the national team as they engage in international assignments.

Radamel Falcao is a proven world class goal scorer whose record at Porto, Athletico Madrid and Monaco is enough to speak for him but the striker hit 13 goals in 22 matches for Monaco before losing out to the injury that saw him miss the world cup finals.

The Colombian has stated he is confident in his ability after scoring this season for Monaco before moving on loan to Manchester United.

Although he was tense during the transfer negotiations with Manchester United with the transfer happening on the final hours of the deadline day he was grateful to God for the one-hour extension that saw the transfer completed.

Radamel Falcao didn’t stay long after the transfer was completed however as he joined up with his international colleagues in the United States of America.

The striker stated his first impression about the club, Manchester United is a good one noting the club is a great institution with no lack and he is elated to be part of the system.

Falcao and the Colombian team lost in the early hours of Saturday to world cup semi-finalist Brazil in Miami with the day’s captain Neymar scoring the only goal for Brazil with eight minutes to the end of regulation time.

Falcao was a substitute and wasted a late chance to draw his team level when he headed over the bar in the closing stages.

Falcao’s desire to return to the team with a goal may have gone but he will need to step up in coming fixtures with their next game billed against Ecuador.
