Manchester United new signing, Angel Di Maria has registered his discontent at a letter written to him by Real Madrid not to take part in the world cup finals in order to avoid aggravating the hamstring injury developed during the 2014 FIFA world cup in Brazil.

The Argentine who recently joined Manchester United in a £59.7 million move claimed Real Madrid didn’t want him to take part of the tournament for Argentina. Although Argentina got to the finals where they lost to a lone Mario Gotze’s goal, Angel Di Maria was not involved since his quarter finals hamstring injury against Belgium.

The attacking midfielder who helped the Blancos to a Copa Del Rey and Champions League triumph last term disclosed that he got a letter from the club in the early hours of a match day. Di Maria have come out openly to counter the information given by manager Carlo Ancelotti that claims Di Maria asked to leave the club.

Angel Di Maria on the other hand said he never wanted to leave but only wanted a fair reward for his commitment which the club was not able to meet. This explains how far the relationship between Di Maria and Real Madrid’s management has gone in breaking down.

The attacking midfielder also claimed that he doesn’t have any special relationship with Fiorentino Perez.

He also praised Cristiano Ronaldo for always supporting him and been a friend and gave a hint on Cristiano Ronaldo himself.

Ronaldo recently raised his concerns about the management of the team and won’t rule out a return to Manchester United. Di Maria added that he does not know how long Cristiano will stay in Real Madrid.

Angel Di Maria also stated he will need a bit of time to adapt to life in the English Premier League and get used to his new teammates.

Di Maria has clearly stated his intent in helping his new club Manchester United get back to winning ways as they look to rebuild the team back into its glory days under the new management of Louis Van Gaal.

His passion and willingness to work will definitely be a vital part of Manchester United success if they were to achieve anything close to that this season with the Argentine arriving in Old Trafford for a British record fee of £59.7 million.

Angel di Maria will have the likes of Juan Mata, Wayne Rooney, Robin Van Persie and Radamel Falcao to work with in Manchester United and the partnership formed by these players will go a long way in shaping Manchester United season.

Angel Di Maria already made his debut for the club in a 0-0 draw away at Burnley with the next match against Queens Park Rangers preparing the playmaker in making his Old Trafford debut after the international break.

Angel Di Maria scored once and delivered three assists during the week for Argentina as they beat world champions Germany 4-2.
