Valencia striker to join Spurs

If reports in Spanish newspaper Cadena Ser are true, and that Spurs new sporting director Franco Baldini is already in Valencia, and that a deal has been agreed on the transfer of Spanish international striker Roberto Baldini to Tottenham has been agreed upon.

Spurs are believed to have offered 26€ million plus other additional incentives totalling four million in order to meet the Valencia asking price.

There is a meeting of the board of directors this afternoon where it is expected the financially burdened club will announce that a deal has been done.

Cadena Ser went on to say that the Valencian striker is keen on a move to White Hart Lane and has already agreed personal terms with the north London club on a salary believed to be 3.5 million euros per season.

Speaking on Radio MARCA Valencia president Amadeo Salvo was quoted as saying: “What’s being offered isn’t far from that.” Referring of course to Soldado’s buy-out clause.
