Spurs are reading a move in January for Paris Saint-Germain Argentinian winger Ezequiel Lavezzi after the South American speedster has fallen out of favour with the French champions.

The 28-year-old  Lavezzi is said to be unhappy in the French capital after being made second choice to summer signing Edinson Cavani, and is yet to play a full ninety minutes so far this season.

Lavezzi arrived at PSG from Napoli in 2012 in a deal that is thought to be around £20 million, yet has failed to live up to the expectations the club had for him only scoring three goals last season six short of what he scored while in Italy.

Andres Villas-Boas thinks that a move to the Premiership will revitalize his career, and also help guarantee him a place in the Argentina squad for next summer’s World Cup in Brazil.
