Real Madrid striker Alvaro Morata has refused to rule out a January loan move to Arsenal, but says he is happy to remain playing for Real Madrid.

The 21-year-old is rated as one of Europe’s emerging stars with a host of other clubs besides Arsenal tracking him, yet recent reports coming out of Spain have suggested that he might move to the Emirates on a six month loan.

Arsenal Wenger however has quashed the rumours as has Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti saying he needs the young striker at the Santiago Bernabeu.

“I’m happy here and I feel that the coach, Zidane and all of the technical staff have a lot of confidence in me,” he is quoted as saying in AS.

“I’m still only 21 and I want to continue with Madrid for a long time. Every player always wants to play and the boss has shown that he has faith in me – he has brought me on during difficult games and I am happy to have been able to repay him for the trust he has demonstrated in my abilities.”

When asked about the loan deal rumours Morata said:” That’s a matter for my agent. I am very happy where I am and I hope to spend many more years with Madrid.”
