French big spenders interested in misfiring Stamford Bridge forward.

PSG are ready to offer Chelsea striker Fernando Torres an escape route.

The 28 year old Spaniard has struggled to come anywhere close to justifying the £50m invested in his services and could well be on his way to the Stamford Bridge exit this summer, a move to the Parc des Princes may well interest the former Liverpool man.

Fernando Torres recently passed the 100 appearance mark at Chelsea and his goal tally is some way below that which Roman Abramovich’s expectations and the Russian billionaire may well look to recoup on his original investment and if PSG are willing to offer a decent fee for the striker then it may be gratefully received by the West London club.

Torres initially improved following the arrival of Rafa Benitez but has now gone six games without a goal and the arrival of Demba Ba may lead to a limited role which could be further compromised if Chelsea manage to bring in a ‘marquee’ striker signing in the summer.

Carlo Ancelotti does overly rely on Swedish powerhouse Zlatan Ibrahimovic and may feel the need to bring in another goal-scoring option, is Torres the man for the job?
