CHAMPIONS LEAGUE goal-king Oscar reckons that Chelsea’s new attacking style is just like watching Brazil.

The dazzling young forward with an eye for the spectacular is loving every minute of his new life in London.

He believes that the adventurous passing game demanded by Blues boss Roberto Di Matteo has allowed him to take to English football like a duck to water.

Oscar, 19, said: “It’s a pleasure to play for a team which attacks like this.

“I’m Brazilian so of course I like playing this style of football a lot.

“It makes me happy to be part of a team playing this way.

“It’s very important to me to enjoy my football and to be with a club which has the same philosophy.

“I have already struck up a good understanding with Juan Mata and Eden Hazard and our relationship is improving with every match we play together.

“After every 90 minutes we feel as though we have a better understanding of each other’s game and, hopefully, there is much more to come from us.”

The Brazilian international was expecting to be given a gradual introduction to life in the Premier League following his £25million summer move from Internacional.

But he has been an ever-present since marking his first Chelsea start with two memorable Champions League goals against Juventus two months ago.

And he has continued to light up Europe’s premier competition with his amazing shooting ability — which culminated in his 35-yard wonder strike in Wednesday’s 3-2 defeat of Shakhtar Donetsk.

He said: “Yes, that was a beautiful goal. I’ve not scored many better than that in my career and it’s definitely the first time I’ve scored from that sort of distance.

“All four of my goals so far for Chelsea have come in the Champions League but that doesn’t mean I’ve found it easier to play in Europe than the Premier League.

“I feel as though I’ve settled in well to both competitions. The most important thing is I am adapting to Chelsea and to my team-mates and I have to keep that process going.

The Premier League is a very different sort of football to what I was used to in Brazil and it does take some getting used to. I am adapting to my new environment but London is a marvellous place to live and I’m happy with my move.

“As a player and as a person, I still have a lot to learn and improve. I have to show what I am capable of but feel I am getting better with every day.”

Oscar had a quick word with his Brazilian team-mate Willian after Wednesday’s Euro thriller. And the Shakhtar superstar, 24, admits that his two goals at Stamford Bridge have got him thinking about a possible move to England.

Willian said: “Chelsea and Spurs have made offers for me in the past.

“Who knows what will happen in the future. Maybe they will come back.

“At the moment all I am thinking about is Shakhtar and helping them to qualify for the next round of the Champions League.

“But I have always thought that one day I want to play for a big club in England, Spain or Italy, so it’s very important for me to play so well against such an important team as Chelsea.”
