Aurelio De Laurentiis said that there will be talks with Chelsea about a possible deal for Edinson Cavani.

Cavani is one of the most wanted strikers in Europe, and for sometime now there has been been much speculations about his future, with all the top clubs knowing that Napoli will sell the Uruguayan striker for the right price.

Napoli also know that the 26 years old Cavani is wanted by Manchester City, Real Madrid and Paris Saint Germain.

De Laurentiis has said that if Cavani should leave, any money they get for him will be reinvested in the club, but would prefer that he stays with the Seria a side.

In an interview for Radio Marte De Laurentiis said: “The budget for the transfer market will be based in relation to the Financial Fair Play rules,”

“If Cavani is sold then I’ll reinvest all of the €63million (£53.5m) of his release clause.

“There is interest from Chelsea in Cavani, they’ll call me in the next few hours.

“I’ll be delighted if he stays, but if he leaves then he will be adequately replaced.”
