The Sunday Express is reporting that David Moyes is set to sign his former Everton player Leighton Baines in January for Manchester United.

Everton already have made plans to replace Baines after being resigned to the fact he will join his former boss during the January transfer window with the club looking at Swansea’s Ben Davis and Chelsea’s Ryan Bertrand as possible replacements for the 29-year-old Baines.

Providing Manchester United are prepared to pay £15 million for the England international who is currently fighting with Ashley Cole for his England spot ahead of the World Cup in Brazil it should be a done deal.

Manchester United are also willing to let youngster Wilfried Zaha go out on loan for a while as the youngster is not getting enough playing time at Old Trafford.

Manager David Moyes said: “We have got big, big competition and there are a lot of players to give some playing time.

“We’ve not been able to do that with Wilf. If that continues then in January I will look at it.”
