Manchester United manager David Moyes is looking to spend big on new players this summer and has according to the Daily Express been given the funds to reshape the team.

Reports suggest that Moyes is interested in signing two of Southampton’s young England prospects for Brazil Adam Lallana and Luke Shaw.

With current Manchester United players Nani, Ashley Young and Shinji Kagawa looking set to leave Old Trafford in the summer Lallana would be used in midfield to play with Juan Mata and Adnan Januzaj behind Wayne Rooney.

Signing Luke Shaw may prove to be a bit trickier with Chelsea, Manchester City and Liverpool all interested in signing him, but Moyes feels that promising the young defender first team football could shift the weight in favour of United.

Shaw is currently competing with Chelsea’s Ashley Cole for a full-back position in Roy Hodgesons England squad and if selected for the World Cup will certainly see his value rise.

While Moyes may only be willing to offer £30 million for the two players he may come unstuck with Southampton reluctant to let them go for less than £40 million.
