Kolo Toure admits he could be tempted to make a move to France after falling out of favour at Manchester City.

The Ivory Coast defender has spent the last three years at the Etihad Stadium, helping City to FA Cup and Premier League successes.

He has, however, slipped down the pecking order of late and has been restricted to just three appearances so far this season.

Reports have suggested that he could look for a switch when the transfer window re-opens in January, with there a number of clubs said to be keen on acquiring his services.

Toure concedes that such thoughts have crossed his mind and has hinted that a fresh start in Ligue 1 would be an option he is willing to consider.

“Why not France?” said the 31-year-old.

“There is PSG, Lille and the league is getting stronger.”
