DAVID SILVA has given Manchester City a derby scare.

The Spanish ace is out of tonight’s Champions League game in Dortmund.

And he is a doubt for Sunday’s clash with United. City boss Roberto Mancini said: “Silva has a problem because he’s very tired, he has a problem with his back and his hamstring.

“We will try and let him recover for Sunday but it’s difficult.”

Mancini has told his other big stars it is time to raise their game.

City trail Premier League leaders United by three points after six draws this season.

They have also slipped out of the Champions League and could even finish bottom of their group unless they beat Dortmund tonight.

Sergio Aguero, Carlos Tevez, Edin Dzeko, Mario Balotelli and Samir Nasri have all failed to find a consistent level this campaign.

Mancini said: “I think we have a lot of players who can make a lot of difference in every game.

“But it’s clear that I want more from these players. It may be that Silva misses the next game but I hope these players can do more than they have until now.”

Gael Clichy, Aleksandar Kolarov, James Milner, Jack Rodwell and Micah Richards are also out injured tonight, while Yaya Toure is suspended and Kolo Toure is ineligible.
