Liverpool striker Iago Aspas could be out for as long as six weeks after injuring a thigh muscle during a training session at Melwood on Thursday.
The 26-year-old Spaniard was signed by Liverpool during the summer from La Liga side Celta Viga for £7 million yet has failed to make an impact in the Liverpool team failing to score during his four premiership starts, and two matches where he entered the game from the substitutes bench.
After undergoing medical tests it is thought that the Liverpool forward will be out of action until at least December.
