Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers spent his Sunday checking on potential summer transfer targets, Sky Sports can confirm.

Rodgers was in attendance in Rotterdam, where Feyenoord claimed a 2-1 win over rivals PSV Eindhoven.

A Feyenoord spokesman confirmed to Sky Sports that the Liverpool boss was present: “We can confirm that Brendan Rodgers was here on Sunday.”

Stefan De Vrij is understood to have been the main reason for Rodgers’s visit to De Kuip and Sky Sports revealed back in December that Liverpool were tracking the Dutch international.

However, Rodgers would no doubt have also taken the chance to run the rule over a number of other players who have been linked to England in recent months.

For Feyenoord, Bruno Martins-Indi and Jordy Clasie will have been of interest, whilst for PSV the likes of Kevin Strootman and Jeremain Lens would no doubt have been of interest too.
