Juventus general director Giuseppe Marotta has admitted that he is a keen admirer of Bayern Munich attacker Arjen Robben and Barcelona’s Alexis Sanchez, but remained coy on whether the Serie A champions will try and lure the duo to Turin.

A number of recent reports suggested that the Bianconeri are interested in signing either player as they are looking to strengthen their attack ahead of the 2013-14 campaign, but the 56-year-old believes both players are likely to stay at their current clubs.

“Robben and Alexis are two excellent players and I admire both of them. There is not much more I can say about it at this point, though,” Marotta told the Corriere dello Sport.

“Sanchez is with Barcelona and they paid a significant transfer fee for him. I think that he will stay at Barcelona this summer.

“Robben is a player who plays with a lot of authority and has a lot of ability. But he plays for one of the best clubs in Europe at the moment …”

Alexis, 24, has a contract with Barcelona until the summer of 2016, while the 29-year-old Robben’s deal with Bayern expires in 2015.
