Chelsea captain John Terry could be on his way to Istanbul after he emerged as a summer target for Fenerbahce.

The Turkish side are eager to compete with rivals Galatasaray for big-name signings and have earmarked the 32-year-old as a potential recruit.

Terry still has a year left on contract and will wait until the summer before making any decision on whether to leave Stamford Bridge.

Fenerbahce signed Dirk Kuyt from Liverpool at the start of the season but they trail rivals Galatasaray by four points in the Turkish league.

Didier Drogba recently joined Galatasaray, after his move to Shanghai from Stamford Bridge didn’t work out, along with Dutch midfielder Wesley Sneijder.

Turkish league leaders Galatasaray are also into the last eight of the Champions League, where a clash with Real Madrid awaits.
