Oscar has revealed that he hopes to score more regularly and help Chelsea win silverware after expressing his delight at the way he has settled in England.

The Brazilian has enjoyed a promising first season in the Premier League following his switch from homeland club Internacional last summer, and has scored a number of crucial goals.

He netted within seconds of coming on against Sparta Prague last week to give the Blues a 1-0 lead at the halfway point of their Europa League tie, but he is keen to improve.

“At Internacional in the Copa Libertadores, the South American Champions League, I scored some important goals as well, which was great for me in my career, but here is a bit different,” he told the club’s official website.

“Chelsea is one of the biggest clubs in the world competing in the biggest competitions, and I really hope I can keep improving and doing well, scoring important goals.

“I scored five in the Champions League, now I have one in the Europa League and I want to have more.”

Oscar is happy with how he has adjusted to life in a new country and believes he is starting to flourish in the Premier League.

“I’m very happy and we are enjoying it more and more day by day, my wife and family,” he explained.

“Everybody is happy here and we are getting to know London a little bit more. I take English classes and it is improving all the time, so in two or three months I think I will speak more and I can already understand some. I’m very happy in spite of the cold!

“Also I am adapting to playing in England and the Premier League all the time. I think I’m playing well and now I’m starting games more often I feel like I’m doing well. I hope I can continue to do this as it helps my improvement, and I want to help Chelsea win games, competitions and titles.”
