How Can Mesut Ozil Overcome Frustration and Improve His Game

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has had a sit down with club record signing Mesut Özil to reassure the young German that he is central to Arsenal’s future plans despite a run of bad form.

The 25-year-old midfielder will miss three crucial matches that could determine Arsenal’s title chances when the Gunners take on Spurs, Chelsea and Manchester City due to a hamstring injury he incurred in the match against Bayern Munich on Tuesday night.

The German international has targeted the FA Cup semi-final at Wembley against Wigan on April 12th as his comeback date.

It has been a hard few weeks for the former Real Madrid player who has looked both physically and mentally drained since missing a penalty against Bayern Munich in the first leg of their last-16 Champions league encounter.

Özil has struggled to settle in to his new life in London after moving from Real Madrid for a club record fee of £42.5 million last summer prompting manager Arsene Wenger to tell the young German that his door is always open and to reassure the German playmaker that he is considered to be a vital part of Arsenal’s future.

Gunner fans will be hoping that when he returns to the squad he will look like he did in the early part of the season, and help Arsenal to win what would be their first trophy in nine years.
