It is no wonder Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has said that he does not think he will be signing any players until after the World Cup due to the fact he will be busy covering the tournament for French television.

“Everybody is focused in the country on their national team and there’s not a lot happening. People are away. I believe this year again you will have to wait until July 15 to start going.

“You are not the only one who decides when the business is done because it’s down to availability of players and the clubs who sell decide that.” He told the Daily Mirror.

The 64-year-old Frenchman just signed a new three-year contract worth £24 million according to ESPN yet could not miss the opportunity to pick up a little pocket money from French television by offering his take on the World Cup to the French viewing audience.

Not to worry though Arsenal fans as I am sure Brendan Rodgers, Jose Mourinho and Manuel Pellegrini will not have signed all the best players while Wenger is busy doing his other job.
